ISLAMABAD, Sept 15: Top-ranked national squash players will represent Pakistan in three upcoming international tournaments.

An official of the Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) told Dawn on Monday that Farhan Mehboob, Aamir Atlas Khan, Mansoor Zaman, Yasir Butt and Waqar Mehboob would be playing in Wolverhampton Open, Saudi International (qualifying round) and World Open.

“Aamir Atlas would feature in the US$30,000 Wolverhampton Open from Sept 30 to Oct 5 in England,” the official said.

He said Farhan, Aamir, Mansoor and Yasir would represent the green flag in the qualifying round of the US$250,000 Saudi International on Oct 8 and 9 in England.

Waqar Mehboob has been given wild-card for the qualifying round of the World Open, scheduled to be held in England, the official added.

Regarding the Pakistan Open, he said that the entries for the PSA event would be closed on Oct 8 whereas the closing date for the WISPA event is Oct 9.
