KARACHI, July 21: The Shah Faisal Town administration has decided to take strict action against illegal mounting of cellphone towers.

The acting nazim of the town while chairing a meeting of the regulation department issued directives to the officers concerned for action against the cellphone companies which had installed their towers within the limits of the town without obtaining a no-objection certificate (NOC) from the town administration.

The meeting noted that some phone companies had not yet paid their dues while some others had installed their towers without an NOC. The defaulting firms were given a week to clear their dues.—PPI
