PESHAWAR, June 18: A land dispute claimed lives of a widow, her young son and daughter at Najoi Chowk in Chamkani here on Wednesday.

Police said that Gul Shad Bibi widow of Kala Khan was on her way to home along with her son Rashid, 18, and daughter Faiza, 16, in a motorcar when armed men sprayed them with bullets. All the three were killed on the spot. Police official said that armed men were reportedly led by Ayub son Atlas.

The other accused, police said, were Maajid son of Ayub, Zaman son of Sarbiland, Murad son of Zaman all resident of Najori Village.

They said that cause of enmity was a land dispute which had also claimed three lives in the past.

“Following a complaint of Benish wife of Said Alam a murder case against the accused had been registered at Chamkani police station but they had already escaped,” police said.
