Karachi boxing team named

KARACHI, May 26: The Karachi City Boxing Association (KCBA) on Monday named a 12-member team, comprising six junior and six senior pugilists, to take part in the Mirpurkhas boxing tournament to be held in the first week of June as part of the mango festival.

The team was selected after one-day trials held at the Peoples Sports Complex.

The boxers will attend a training camp which will continue till their departure to Mirpurkhas.

Team:

Juniors: Sheharyar Katchi (48kg), Jamal Baloch (51kg), Mohammad Moosa (54kg), Sabir (54kg), Aamir Khan (57kg), Abdul Waheed (60kg).

Seniors: Altaf Ali (48kg), Azmatullah (51kg), Shahid Khan (54kg), Shaukat (54kg), Yasir (60kg), Shahbaz Akhtar (64kg).—APP
