PESHAWAR, May 3: Two persons were shot dead and another was critically injured in the limits of Yakatoot police station here on Saturday.

As per police report, injured Ibrahim son of Gul Rahim resident of Hazarkhwani in his statement to the police at the hospital said that he was at the residence of his friend Adil that one Hijab Gul son of Islam called him and opened fire at him.

A passerby Maasal Khan son of Amir Khan of the same locality, police said, was also killed during the firing.

The official said that the people of the area later informed the police that Hijab Gul was also killed and his body was recovered from a small irrigation channel. Police said that both Ibrahim and Hijab Gul had some monitory dispute, which caused the incident.

Family members of Hijab Gul have registered a case against Ibrahim for murder.
