KARACHI: Ulema call on Ibad

Published April 2, 2008

KARACHI, April 1: The Sindh governor, Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan, has said that all the Muslims are united in condemning the blasphemous caricatures and such a film produced abroad.

He was talking to a delegation of Ulema, led by Maulana Asad Thanvi, which called on him at the Governor’s House here on Thursday.

The scholars expressed their concern over the activities of land mafia in various parts of the city.

Dr Ibad issued necessary directives to the relevant officials in this regard and ordered strict action against the unscrupulous elements.

Dr Ibad said that all-out steps would be taken to maintain an environment of sectarian harmony, peace and tranquillity across the province.—APP
