PESHAWAR, March 16: Unknown militants targeted security posts and government infrastructure in Darra Adamkhel, Kohat and Khar on Sunday but no causality was reported.

In the first incident, miscreants blew up a security post along the Indus Highway in the Frontier Region Darra Adamkhel.

According to eyewitnesses, they had planted explosives inside the post which went off destroying the entire infrastructure. The post was situated near the Friendship Tunnel.

KOHAT BLAST: Unknown militants blew up unmanned sales meter station (SMS) of the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) on Dhodha road.

The bomb disposal squad said that five kilograms of explosives had been used in the blast which damaged the outer grill and pipes, supplying gas to Kohat city from the Shakardarra Gas and Oil Fields.

SNGPL staff repaired the pipes without blocking gas supply to the consumers after hectic efforts. Saddar police have registered a case and started investigations.

KHAR BLAST: A remote control bomb, planted by unknown militants on road near Sadiqabad, exploded but no casualty was reported.

Political administration said that a man nearby fainted as the bomb went off with a bang. He was rushed to a nearby hospital. The road was damaged due to the explosion and the political administration registered a case and started investigation.
