KHAIRPUR: Body of kidnap victim found

KHAIRPUR, Feb 11: The body of a kidnap victim bearing torture marks was found from near a canal in the Ahmedpur area on Monday morning.

The villagers spotted the body near Lalan Wah and informed the Ahmedpur police about it. The deceased was identified as Abdul Sattar Badani, 40, resident of Khuhra, Gambat taluka and clerk in the roads and works department.

After post-mortem at the Gambat taluka hospital, the body was handed over to relatives of the deceased.

Later, shutter-down strike was observed in Khuhra to protest against the murder of the kidnap victim. Hundreds of people and traders with the relatives of the deceased took out a procession and staged a demonstration outside the local press club.
