RAWALPINDI, April 7: Major-General Shahid Siddiq Tirmizey and Major-General Javed Alam Khan, who were approved for promotion to the rank of Lieutenant-General, have been appointed Corps Commanders of Multan and Mangla, respectively.

The present Corps Commander Mangla, Lt-Gen Ghulam Mustafa has been posted as Commander Army Strategic Force Command in an existing vacancy while the Corps Commander Multan,

Lt-Gen Syed Muhammad

Amjad, will assume the office of Managing Director, Fauji Foundation.

This was stated by the Inter Services Public Relations Directorate in a press release issued here on Sunday.

In another Posting Order, issued by the General Headquarters (GHQ), following transfers have been made:

—Major General Tariq Javed, at present Deputy Chief of

Logistics Staff, made Surveyor General of Pakistan.

—Major General Parvez Akmal, at present Managing Director OGDCL, posted as Deputy Engineer-in-Chief Pakistan Army.

—Major General Ali Baz, currently Chief Instructor National Defence College (NDC), made Additional Secretary, Ministry of Defence.

—Major General Ghazanfar Ali Khan, at present General Officer Commanding Division (GOC), transferred and posted as Deputy Chief of General Staff (GHQ).

—Major General Safdar Hussain, currently Deputy Chief of General Staff (GHQ), posted at Directorate General Inter Services Intelligence (ISI).

—Major General Sallah-Ud-Din, at present General Officer Commanding Division (GOC), as Director General Pakistan Rangers Sindh.

—Major General Syed Sabahat Hussain, currently General Officer Commanding Division (GOC), made Chief Instructor National Defence College (NDC).—APP
