KARACHI, Oct 22: The city district government, Karachi, has directed officials of the education department for carrying out regular surprise inspection of educational institutions, including privately managed schools, colleges and technical institutions.

The officials have been directed to constitute a team in each town for conducting detailed inspection and provide on-the-spot guidance, check record and take stock of other matters including attendance of students as well as teachers.

The city Nazim has also asked the officials to furnish him copies of the reports of inspections, sources in the education department said.

There should be separate teams for elementary, primary, secondary, higher secondary schools, vocational, and technical institutes, intermediate and degree colleges, he said.—PPI
