KARACHI: City Council meets today

Published November 13, 2007

KARACHI, Nov 12: The City Council session, which was adjourned on Nov 7, will now be held at the council secretariat on Tuesday. This was announced by the City Naib Nazim, Nasreen Jalil, on Monday.

The naib nazim had adjourned the session when the opposition benches raised the issue of imposition of emergency rule in the country. But she barred the opposition from any debate over the issue and ruled that the house could not discuss issues “which was outside its purview.”
