SAN FRANCISCO, Oct 21: A mass rally was held here on Saturday to protest against the US military operation and killing of civilians in Afghanistan. The demonstration was sponsored by the San Francisco Town Hall Committee to Stop War.
People from different nationalities took part in the two hour protest march and rally. Several hundred demonstrators, carrying anti-war banners, marched from the city centre to the United Nations Plaza.
The speakers expressed concern for the killing of civilians in the military operation and called for an immediate halt.
