LARKANA, Oct 28: The people of the town were surprised when they found Ms Benazir Bhutto among them when she arrived there without any prior announcement from Naudero on Sunday.

People showered rose petals on her and chanted slogan ‘Wazir-i-Azam Benazir’ wherever her vehicle stopped.

Ms Benazir Bhutto was escorted by the ‘Janisar’ force and police during her visit to different parts of the city.

She offered condolences to the mother of Nizam Samo who had been killed in the October 18 blast. She remained with his family for some time. Later, she went to the house of Dr Roshan Shaikh, the family physician of the Bhutto family, and offered condolence there over his death.

As she came out from Shaikh’s house a large number of people who were gathered at Bunder road raised slogans and showered rose petals on her motorcade.

The traffic at main Pakistan chowk came to standstill when she arrived there.

She responded the crowd with waving hands and came out of her vehicle which Nisar Khuhro was driving.

When she arrived at the residence of Ghulam Mujtaba Isran, district president of the PPP, Qambar-Shahdadkot, again a crowd was there.

Ms Bhutto offered condolence with him on the demise of his wife. She also offered condolence with the family of late Abdul Khalique Bhutto, the chairman of Bhutto Welfare Trust.

A worst traffic jam had been witnessed when she arrived at the residence of Aamir Bhutto on the VIP road.

She offered condolence with him over the death of Sardar Wahid Bakhsh Bhutto.

After these condolences Ms Bhutto went to village Waleed at the residence of former deputy speaker of National Assembly, Dr Begum Ashraf Abbasi who is the mother of MPA Haji Munwar Ali Abbasi, Senator Dr Safdar Abbasi and mother-in-law of Ms Naheed Khan.
