HYDERABAD, Sept 4: Chief Minister Dr. Arbab Ghulam Rahim announced on Monday a development package for Sehwan town and beautification of the shrine of Qalandar Lal Shahbaz.

Mr Rahim said after visiting the shrine that the package would be launched soon and completed within a period of one year, possibly before the commencement of next Urs.

Under this package, water supply, sewerage and sanitation system of the town would be improved to facilitate devotees and all the encroachments around the shrine would be removed, he said.

He said that the package designers would keep in mind the shrine of Data Darbar in Lahore while preparing the plan and the government would give priority to the shrine’s beatification.

He said that various development schemes for roads, parks, drinking water, drainage, lavatories and other basic facilities would be part of this package.

The construction of swimming pools around the Mela ground would also be included in the package, he said.
