THATTA, Aug 25: Second civil judge Thatta, Sattar Abbas, under the directives of district and sessions judge Thatta, in a surprise raid on Keenjhar police station, recovered four persons illegally confined in the police lockup on Saturday.

Those recovered were identified as Ibrahim, Ismail, Shahnawaz and Wahid Dino Brohi.

The SHO, Javed Lakhair, of Keenjhar police station was not present when the raid was conducted.

MAN KILLED: Jehanzeb Khan 22, son of Rustam Khan Jatoi, DPO Thatta, was killed and three of his friends, whose names could not be ascertained immediately, were injured as their jeep overturned after hitting a trailer on Super Highway near Loonikot in the jurisdiction of Thatta district on Saturday.
