MARDAN, Aug 20: The Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway (M1) will be opened in the first week of October, an official has said. The official told Dawn that the section of the motorway Charsadda and Islamabad was being used by people but it would be officially opened after completion of work on the interchange near Peshawar.

However, the M1 has not been joined with M2 at Burhan as construction of a few metres of road is yet to be completed.
