HARIPUR: Tehsil budget passed

HARIPUR, July 24: The annual budget of the Haripur Tehsil council for the 2007-8 year amounting to Rs739.097 million was passed by the council members on Tuesday. Convener Syed Ahsen Shah chaired the session.

District Nazim Yousaf Ayub Khan and other district government officers were also present on the occasion.

The major taxes the TMA had decided to levy were loading and unloading tax in the city limits, per connection tax on cable operators, tax on mobile towers and sign board tax. The TMA had earmarked Rs639.09 million for development expenditure.
