MARDAN, July 20: A girl was shot dead allegedly by her uncle over a marriage dispute, while a body of another woman was found in a nearby stream here on Thursday evening. Syed Kamal lodged an FIR with the Katlang Police Station against his brother, Mohammad Zaman, saying that the accused had shot dead his daughter.

He said that Zaman was angry because he had refused to give his daughter’s hand to Zaman’s son, Waqas Khan.

The accused escaped after the incident.

In the other incident, Sheikh Maltoon Town Police Station recovered the body of an unidentified woman from the nearby stream. She was hanged to death.
