Published July 14, 2007

KHAIRPUR, July 13: A man shot dead his 55-year-old mother in Pir Jo Goth late on Thursday night apparently in the name of honour. Reports reaching here said that Imran with the help of three other armed men identified as Khadim Hussain, Mohammad Nawaz and Abdul Sattar opened fire on his mother Ghulam Zehra, 55, and killed her on the spot.

Imran’s brother, Mustafa Arejo, said in an FIR that his mother had visited a shrine and probably it annoyed Imran.—BoC
