Barber shop attacked

QUETTA, June 22: Four people were injured when two men on motorbikes lobbed an explosive device into a barber’s shop on the busy Prince Road on Friday night.

In a separate incident, a child was injured when a rocket fired by unidentified attackers exploded in a village near the Pakistan-Afghan border in Chaman.

Police said two persons riding a motorbike hurled a locally-made device into the shop when the area was under load-shedding.

The shopowner, one of his workers and two customers were injured. One of the wounded was said to be in serious condition.

The victims were identified as Haji Nazir Ahmed, Mohammad Hanif, Mohammad Sajid and Shahbaz.

Meanwhile, a rocket fired from some unknown destination exploded in a ground in village Gang close to the Pakistan-Afghan border in Chaman. A child identified as Mohammad Alam was injured.
