KARACHI, June 11: The Women Action Forum, supporting various journalist organisations including the PFUJ and the KUJ, condemned the government's move against media freedom, said a release issued here on Monday.

The WAF expressed concern over the intimidation of journalists and condemned attempts to muzzle the media in the shape of a ban on live coverage of outdoor events, especially protests related to the current judicial crisis and unplugging of various private channels.

The forum considered restrictions on the media as a violation of the fundamental rights and a breach of the Constitution.
