KARACHI, May 24: Work on various water and sewerage projects worth Rs16 billion will be completed in six months.

This was stated by City Naib Nazim Nasreen Jalil during a meeting with Syed Mohammed Nomanul Haq, nazim UC-11 Khawaja Ajmer Nagri, New Karachi Town here on Thursday.

On the occasion, the UC nazim informed that PC-I for an overhead storage tank had been prepared and its construction would begin shortly.

In this union council, he said, a number of development schemes worth Rs55 million had been completed while projects worth Rs13.50 million were in progress.

According to him, 70 per cent work on sewerage improvement and 80 per cent road carpeting work and a family park has been completed in Khawaja Ajmer Nagri while lights on a 36-feet wide road has also been installed.—APP
