KARACHI, April 16: Fifty-eight people were deprived of their cell phones and 20 people of their cars and motorcycles here on Monday. Police sources said 25 people complained that bandits intercepted them at gunpoint and deprived them of their mobile phones, cash and belongings. Thirty-three other people complained that their cellphones were stolen.
Twenty vehicles — three cars and 17 motorcycles — were either hijacked or stolen in various localities here. One car was taken away at gunpoint by bandits and two others stolen.
Seven motorcycles were hijacked and 10 others were reported stolen.
