HYDERABAD, March 27: Sindh Minister for Revenue Dr Irfan Gul Magsi handed over Sanads (ownership certificates) to 139 villagers under the government’s Gothabad Scheme at the union council Missan of Tando Allahyar district on Monday.

The minister said speaking at the Sanads distribution ceremony at an open katchehry said that the residents of old villages had not been given proprietary rights over last 60 years. It was for the first time during last 15 years that the government had started distributing ownership certificates among the villagers, he added.

He said that the governments in past used to sell employments but claimed that this government was providing jobs purely on merit. The government had launched massive development programmes, he said.
