KHAIRPUR: Body found in river

KHAIRPUR, March 25: The body of 20-year-old youth was found in the Indus River in the jurisdiction of the Mehboob Kalhoro police station on Sunday.

The body with torture marks was taken to the Gambat Taluka Hospital for post-mortem.

Meanwhile, three bandits were arrested after an encounter on Sunday, according to the Sobhodero police.

The police claimed that they arrested three bandits after an encounter near Faiz Canal and recovered a rifle, a shotgun and a pistol from their possession.

Those arrested were identified as Nazir Jodh, Mithal Manglo and Mohammad Chuttal Manglo. Police said that their two accomplices managed to flee. The police have registered two cases against arrested bandits.—PPI
