HYDERABAD, Feb 23: Jeay Sindh Students Federation activists observed black day in different educational institutions of Sindh on Friday to protest against the arrest of JSSF president Kehar Ansari. Black day was observed in the Government Technical College, Qasimabad College and Muslim College in Hyderabad as well as in Tandojam college and the Mehran University of Engineering and Technology.

JSSF leaders, Faqir Nawaz Panhiar, Suriah Sindhi, Sajid Dahiri alleged that Kehar Ansari was arrested at the instance of vice chancellor of Mehran University. They said that the protest will continue till the release of Ansari and the removal of vice chancellor of Mehran University.

Meanwhile, chairman of JSQM, Basheer Khan Qureshi and other central leaders, Dr Niaz Kalani, Sagar Hanif Burdi and others announced to observe black day throughout Sindh on Saturday (today) against the enforced disappearance of the general secretary of the party, Dr Safdar Sarki and the arrest of the workers of nationalist parties.

In a joint statement, they said that Dr Sarki was made to disappear one year back and his whereabouts remained unknown. They urged the Sindhis not to forget the sacrifices of the nationalist workers.

NAUSHAHRO FEROZE: The activists of Jeay Sindh Students Federation and students of Government High School, Padidan, took out a rally to protest the arrest of Kehar Ansari.

Led by Azad Burdi and Ayaz Rajpar, the participants, after marching on different roads, reached Nusrat canal bridge where they staged sit-in.
