KARACHI, Feb 22: Sindh Home Adviser Waseem Akhtar has described vehicles with fake number plates, various names or carrying AFR plates as security risk.

In case of snatching or lifting of such vehicles, their identification becomes impossible if involved in crimes and anti-social elements can fulfil their nefarious designs, he added.

He was speaking at a meeting with the DIG traffic and other senior traffic officers at his office here on Thursday.

The adviser made it clear that the government would not allow vehicles with AFR or other illegal number plates to ply on roads. He advised the owners of vehicles having AFR plates and other unregistered vehicles not to use them so as to avoid legal action.—APP
