Islamabad to stage National snooker

KARACHI, Jan 9: The 32nd edition of the National snooker championship will be held at a new billiards hall of the Islamabad Sports Complex from February 7, Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Association (PBSA) president Asghar Valika said on Tuesday.

Overall 48 cuemen representing the four provinces of the country will take part in the Rs204,000 ten-day competition.

Khurram Agha of Sindh will defend his title.

The PBSA president said this is the second time when Islamabad will be staging the competition.

The cueists will be divided in eight pools. Two players from each pool will qualify for pre-quarter-finals.—APP
