KARACHI, Dec 21: Police on early Thursday morning arrested brother of gangster Arshad Pappu along with his accomplices after a shoot out in Gulshan-i-Iqbal.

The station house officer of Gulshan-i-Iqbal police station said that a police party signaled to a car at the main University Road early Thursday morning, instead of complying the car sped away towards Gulshan-i-Iqbal, Block 7.

The police party chased the suspects and following a shootout arrested Qurban alias Bangali along with his three accomplices and recovered a gun, four pistols and some cash from their possession.

SHO Dost Mohammad said Qurban was involved in around 150 cases, but so far 27 cases had been traced against him registered in different police stations. Police also recovered a Toyota Corolla from their possession.

BODY FOUND: Decomposed body of a middle-aged man was recovered from Surjani Town on Thursday.

Police said that victim was identified as Riasaat, 35, from some documents found from his possession. The body was dumped at a deserted place in Surjani Town.
