BAHAWALPUR, Dec 6: President Pervez Musharraf on Wednesday witnessed the joint Pakistan-Saudi military exercise and said it reflected a close cooperation between the armed forces of the two countries.

President Musharraf appreciated the scope and conduct of the three-week exercise that involved different operations by troops in desert, according to Inter Services Public Relations.

The president said intensive peace time training in realistic battlefield environment led to better preparedness and improved battle worthiness of the troops.

The president met officers and men participating in the exercise and appreciated their professionalism and dedication.—APP
