DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Dec 3: NWFP Chief Minister Akram Khan Durrani and Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal’s central leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman have said that work on the Gomal Zam dam will restart soon, adding that Federal Defence Minister Rao Sikandar Iqbal has given full assurance to them in this respect.

In an interview with Online news agency on Sunday, they said there was a need to enhance water reservoirs in the country. Timely completion of the Gomal Zam dam and other water projects, including Shah Haider Zam, Darabin Zam and Chaudwan Zam, is the need of the hour, they stressed.
