Sialkot triumph by innings

KARACHI, Feb 14: Sialkot scored their third successive victory when they trounced Rest of Punjab by nine wickets on the penultimate day of the Quaid Trophy Grade-I match at Gymkhana Cricket Ground in Okara Thursday.

Needing only 72, Sialkot reached their target for the loss of just one wicket.

Earlier, Medium-pacer Tahir Mughal claimed five for 71 as Punjab made 250 in their second innings with Kashif Naveed falling three short of a maiden first-class century.

Tahir finished with a match haul of nine for 154 to take his season’s haul to 73 wickets in 11 matches.
