LAHORE, Sept 29: Propelled by three centuries, Faisalabad put themselves in a commanding position against Hyderabad on the second day of the three-day PCB Inter-region Under-19 cricket championship match at the Iqbal Stadium on Friday.

Ali Waqas hit 101, Mohammad Amir 112 and Mohammad Laiq an unbeaten 114 as Faisalabad reached 432 for three in the stipulated 83 overs of their first innings.

The hosts thus earned a huge lead of 306 runs.

By close of play, Hyderabad were 125-2 in the second innings. They still require 182 to avoid an innings defeat.

Meanwhile, a six-wicket haul by leg-spinner Hafiz Saad Naseem enabled Lahore Ravi get a slim eight-run lead on first innings against Sialkot at the LCCA Ground.

Saad gave away 78 runs as Sialkot were all out for 233 in 77.4 overs in reply to Lahore Ravi's 241.

Opener Zaman Jamil made fighting 83, laced with 10 fours.

At stumps Lahore Ravi were 19 without loss in the second innings.

An undefeated century by Gul Raiz Sadaf enabled hosts Multan earn a lead of 111-run against Lahore Shalimar at the Multan Cricket Stadium.

Gul Raiz struck 103 with 19 boundaries as Multan were all out for 300 in 83 overs in response to Lahore Shalimar’s 189.

The visitors were 75-1 in the second innings when the stumps were drawn for the day.Summarised scores:

LAHORE SHALIMAR 189 in 56.5overs and 75-1 in 24 overs;
