CHAKWAL, Sept 3: A man and his three sons died after drinking poisonous milk at Dhoda village located some 35km from here in the Dhumman police limits. According to details, the ill-fated family drank milk from a pot in which a lizard had fallen, resulting in the death of 55- year-old Mohammad Iqbal and his three sons — Asif (18), Atif (15) and Ahsan (12).

The wife of Mohammad Iqbal survived as she did not use the milk. Asif woke up at 2am and told his mother that he was not feeling well. The three sons and her husband breathed their last in front of her.

The Mulhal Mughlan police checkpost was informed and its in charge Naseer Shah rushed to the spot and after carrying out necessary investigation, he termed the deaths accidental as the relatives of deceased said the family had no enmity with anyone.—Correspondent
