ISLAMABAD: The capital administration initiated legal action against four petrol pumps after recovery of suspicious electronic devices.

The administration said cases were registered against the management of the pumps and a decision was also taken to revoke their NOCs.

The administration inspected 43 petrol pumps. Tampering was confirmed in 42 nozzles across 14 petrol pumps.

A decision was also taken to initiate action against the owners of the petrol pumps found dispensing less than the prescribed quantity of fuel.

Fuel measurement at 29 petrol pumps was found to be accurate and in accordance with standards.

The deputy commissioner directed for indiscriminate enforcement actions across the city.

The administration said it continues action against petrol pumps for short-measuring fuel.
