KARACHI: The Sindh Higher Education Commission (SHEC) has launched Roshan Sindh Pakistan, the first centralised portal for maintaining student records of public and private universities across the province.

Officials said each university will get its own dedicated account on the portal. Institutions can upload up to 60,000 student records at once using an Excel template. The system checks the data automatically, blocks duplicate entries and produces detailed reports. Access is secure, and every upload is tracked through a complete audit trail.

They said the portal would bring student data from all universities into one place. Reliable and up-to-date records will help the SHEC plan better, monitor enrolment trends and support quality assurance work.

Universities will also save time, since they no longer have to prepare and send data in different formats. Automated validation will cut down errors and repeated entries and the audit trail will make the process more transparent and accountable, they added.
