LARKANA: A 52-year-old man and his son were shot dead over a land dispute in Hakim Shah village of Qambar-Shahdadkot district on Saturday.

According to police, the rival sides belonged to the Syed community living in the village near Qambar town.

They said the assailants opened fire on Abdullah Shah and his two sons, Rizwan Shah and Sanaullah Shah, leaving them critically wounded, on Saturday.

The victims were rushed to the Larkana Trauma Centre, where Abdullah Shah and Rizwan Shah succumbed to their wounds during treatment. Sanaullah Shah was also fighting for life.

Officials at the Mahi Makol police station said that the assailants managed to flee the area after committing the crime. They said raids were being conducted at various places to arrest them.

Speaking to media personnel, a relative of the victims, Amir Shah, alleged that the assailants belonged to their rivals, led by Fatan Shah. The bodies were taken to the District Headquarters Hospital, Qambar, for a postmortem examination and then handed over to the heirs.
