BAJAUR: Police foiled a terrorism bid by defusing an explosive device in a bazaar in Bajaur district, officials said on Saturday.
They told Dawn that unidentified miscreants had placed an explosive device at Gool Market in Inayat Kallay Bazaar on Friday night.
They said that a team of the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) was dispatched to the spot to defuse the bomb.
The BDS team cordoned off the area before defusing the bomb, they added.
Police launched an investigation to identify those who planted the device.
