ALEXANDRIA: Ibrahim Farag Pasha, Minister in charge of Sudan Affairs, said last night [Oct 14] that the Governor-General of the Sudan, Sir Robert Howe, had exceeded his authority by his statement warning against any attempt at outside interference with the administration of the territory. The Minister said that Sir Robert “by this statement has shown that he is working for British politics alone as we have repeated on several occasions”.
The Egyptian Government would “take the measures required by the situation and the statements or conduct of the Governor-General will have no effect on the plans drawn up to regulate relations between two parts of the valley”. —News agencies
