Three injured during robberies

ISLAMABAD: Three persons were injured during as many robberies, police said.

The police further said in another incident two persons were abducted and deprived of cash and valuables.

In the first incident, a gang of robbers shot and injured a man at Sikandrabad. The injured was identified as Asad Mehmood, who sustained bullet injury in his right leg.

The incident took place near Golra Railway Station where the robbers intercepted him and held at gunpoint.

Later, the robbers snatched a mobile phone and Rs7,000 from him. Escaping from the scene one of the robbers fired at him and as a result he sustained the bullet injury.

Likewise, another gang of robbers shot and injured a man during a robbery at Dhok Kalakhan. The injured was identified as Mohammad Zubair. Two persons armed with weapons intercepted him and held at gunpoint at the pedestrian bridge and looted a mobile phone worth Rs50,000.

When Zubair put up resistance, the robbers opened fire on him.As a result, he sustained bullet injury, while the robbers escaped.

Similarly, a gang of robbers stabbed and seriously injured a man during a robbery in the area of Khanna.

The victim was identified as Raja Noman, who sustained multiple stab wounds on his body.

Later the robbers looted a mobile from him. Furthermore, a man narrowly escaped from a firing of robbers during a robbery at Barakahu.

Two persons armed with weapons intercepted Syed Ali Raza at Mohalla Chaudhrian and held him up at gunpoint.

Moreover, a gang of robbers abducted two persons and took them to their Dera, detained them and looted cash and valuables before releasing them.

Besides, making a transaction of $1,627 through a mobile application, the gunmen also looted Rs585,000 cash from them. After hours detention the gunmen took them to Kalar Saydan and set them free along with their motorcycle.
