SWABI: Police on Monday booked one of their officials for allegedly kidnapping two sisters and making their “indecent” videos.

A spokesperson for police told Dawn that Naseeb Jan, who was earlier the head of the Azamabad police post in Razaar tehsil, was suspended around eight days ago.

The FIR against the official was registered in Zaida police station on the complaint of one of the two women, who belong to Swabi.

The complainant, a widow, insisted that she left her house along with her 20-year-old sister on June 11 after having an argument with her parents and had planned to go to Islamabad.

She alleged that Jan bundled them into his car near Kunda Morr on the Swabi-Jehangira Road and took them to a bungalow in Shahmansoor town in Swabi.

The woman said that she and her sister were kept in the bungalow, where two watchmen kept a watch on them and their “indecent” videos were made.

She said that Jan took them to Islamabad a month later where they were confined in a house from where she fled on Oct 2 and reached her home in Swabi.

Police said the sister of the complainant was still in the captivity of the suspect who was on the run.

When contacted, district police officer Waqas Rafiq said the suspect had gone into hiding along with the abducted woman.

He said that separate police teams had been formed to arrest the suspect.
