Wild monkey captured after injuring two in Shakargarh

NAROWAL: A wild monkey attacked and injured a youth and a woman after entering their home at Mardwal village in Shakargarh tehsil.

Narowal Rescue 1122 spokesperson Hurmat Ali says a wild monkey entered a house and attacked the residents, leaving a young man and a woman injured.

The spokesperson says that on receiving a call about the incident a Rescue 1122 team immediately arrived at the scene and after providing first aid to the injured persons, shifted them to a public hospital.

The injured were identified as Tayyaba Bibi (35) and Arsalan (23).

The spokesperson stated that the rescuers also captured the monkey after around two-hour-long efforts and safely transferred it to the Rescue 1122 Tehsil Headquarters Station in Shakargarh. He said the monkey was later handed over to the wildlife department.

District Emergency Officer Eng Aurangzeb has warned people against attempting to capture wild or stray animals on their own to avoid harm and call Rescue 1122 for help.
