Land dispute leaves two dead, one injured in Bolan

DERA MURAD JAMALI: Two tribesmen were killed and another injured in an armed clash between groups belonging to the Hanbi and Soomro tribes in the Bala Nari area of Bolan district, police said on Saturday.

According to police, the two groups took up arms against each other in Ghazi village over a land dispute and opened fire with automatic weapons.

As a result, two members of the Hanbi tribe were killed and another injured.

A heavy contingent of police rushed to the area, brought the exchange of fire to an end and shifted the bodies and the injured man to the district hospital. The deceased were identified as Muhammad Anwar Hanbi and Bashir Ahmed Hanbi.

Police arrested four armed men belonging to the Soomro tribe and recovered weapons from their possession.
