QUETTA: Authorities are making efforts to repatriate Afghan refugees and other undocumented foreigners, while more than 23,000 Afghan nationals still living in Quetta are also expected to be sent back soon.

This was disclosed at a review meeting on the repatriation of Afghan refugees to Afghanistan, chaired by Quetta Division Commissioner Zeeshan Lashari on Wednesday.

The meeting reviewed ongoing repatriation operations, administrative measures, progress made so far, challenges being faced and the future course of action.

The meeting was told that joint operations involving the district administration, police, Frontier Corps and other relevant institutions were continuing to facilitate the repatriation process.
