WORMSLEY: Ahmed Hussain’s three-wicket haul capped a dominant all-round performance by Pakistan U-19 as they thrashed England by 200 runs in the fourth youth One-day International at Sir Paul Getty’s Ground on Monday to clinch the four-match series 3-1.

After posting 350-4, Pakistan reduced England from 81-2 to 150 all out in 20.4 overs, with Ahmed returning 3-16. Niqab Shafiq, Mohammad Sayyam and Jahangir Bilal took two wickets apiece.

England appeared to have made a reasonable start when Ralphie Albert and Isaac Mohammed put on 61 for the third wicket. Albert struck 46 off 24 balls, while Isaac made 32 off 20.

But the chase quickly unravelled after their dismissals, with Pakistan’s bowlers taking eight wickets for 69 runs to wrap up the innings.

Earlier, Pakistan’s openers Usman Khan and Jahangir Bilal laid the platform for a big total with a 148-run partnership. Both scored 79, with Usman facing 93 balls and hitting nine fours and a six, while Jahangir struck 13 fours in his 81-ball innings.

Ahmed then contributed 63 off 53 balls with eight fours and a six, before captain Farhan Yousaf finished unbeaten on 80 off 54 balls. Hamza Zahoor remained unbeaten on seven off two balls as Pakistan added 202 runs in the final 20 overs.

For England, Subhaan Ali took 2-55.
