13 buffaloes killed

SARGODHA: As many as 13 buffaloes drowned in a canal on Saturday.

According to details, Anwar took his 20 buffaloes to the canal near Chawa village in Bhera town. The animals got stuck in the swampy waters of the canal and a rescue operation was initiated to save them. Seven buffaloes were rescued from the canal, however, 13 died.

Rescue officials said the buffaloes got stuck in the reeds of the swampy canal.
