SUKKUR: Three children died after 10 members of a family were taken to the Shikarpur Civil Hospital in unconscious condition on Saturday.

Preliminary police investigation and medical analysis show that the family had eaten dubious or stale food at their house in Khanpur town. Head of the family, Gulzar Qureshi, said that they had eaten the Biryani prepared at his home last night.

All the patients showed symptoms of diarrhea before falling unconscious.

Three children were declared dead on arrival at the hospital. They were identified as Zain, 5, Gulzaib, 3, and Muskan, 4.

The condition of other patients was stated to be stable at the hospital.
