LAHORE: A sessions court on Friday granted pre-arrest bail to five more cops booked in a case of raiding the residence of Attorney General for Pakistan Mansoor Usman Awan.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Zulfiqar Ahmed Naeem heard the bail petitions filed by police personnel of Sarwar Road police station, including policewoman Seerat Tariq.
The judge allowed the bail till Aug 12 and directed the police personnel to join the investigation against them.
The police officials had approached the court apprehending their arrest in the case registered by the Sarwar Road police. They include Imran Khan, Salman, Najaf Ali and Zeeshan Akram.
Six other police officials including the SHO involved in the case had already secured pre-arrest bail.
According to the FIR, a police party led by the Sarwar Road SHO entered the attorney general’s residence on July 27 after scaling the main gate. They allegedly harassed employees present in the house. A total of 11 policemen were booked in the FIR.
