OKARA: A sugarcane vendor finally succeeded in getting a case registered against a head constable of the Elite Force for torture and extortion after four months.

According to the FIR, the complainant claimed that he was forcibly taken away by Elite Force Head Constable Ejaz Ahmad from Pul Ghara in March 2026.

He alleged that the official took him to his private residence in Hujra Shah Muqeem. He further claimed that the official hanged him in a room and tortured him along with other elite force staffers. He claimed the official demanded Rs70,000 as bribe to set him free.

The complainant claimed that the official took Rs7,000 out of his pocket and asked him to bring the remaining money.

Later, he claimed that he handed over Rs63,000 to the elite force official.

As per the FIR, the bone of contention was that the complainant had exchanged harsh words with the suspect’s brother, who was also a vendor, over parking his cart at Haveli Chowk. Over this, the official allegedly tortured the man and forced him to give Rs70,000 as bribe, otherwise he was threatened to be booked in a narcotics case.

After more than four months, the complainant succeeded in getting the case registered with the Hujra Police.

The Hujra Police claimed to have arrested the accused official.
