
KARACHI: The Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) on Monday paid tribute to the retiring judge of the Supreme Court Justice Musarrat Hilali for her distinguished judicial service, professional integrity and invaluable contribution to the administration of justice.
The SCBA has organised a farewell reception at the bar room on the premises of SC’s Karachi Registry for Justice Hilali, who will retire on Aug 8.
The event was also attended by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Yahya Afridi, Justice Munib Akhtar, Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhel, Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar, Justice Aqeel Ahmed Abbasi and the Chief Justice of the Sindh High Court Zafar Ahmed Rajput.
According to a statement issued by the SC, the occasion brought together members of the bench and bar to acknowledge the services of retiring judge and to convey their best wishes for her health, happiness and a fulfilling post-retirement life.
It also said that as a gesture of goodwill and in recognition of the rich cultural heritage of Sindh, the SCBA presented ajraks to Justice Hilali, CJP Afridi and the accompanying judges.
